last day of blogging

well its ppd1 hand in tommorow ive done all the work and thought i'd finish off with a final blog entry! i did my 15 images this morning and then have been coaxed into modelling for 3rd years all afternoon and ive got to do some tomorrow... sigh! got to see some of the collections and i guess wearing them was quite fun.

sunshine and work the worst combination!

its really sunny and hot and although did manage to get to hyde park (where i think everyone in leeds had congregated yesterday) it was quite late after i'd been catching up a little on my blog.. oops! tomorrow i'm gunna work on my presentation in the morning and see if i cant make it to the park by about 3 and get an ice-cream! it better be nice next week when ive finish... doubt it though. :(

hand in... the metamorphosis is complete!

got all my work handed in this morning woooo! i dont think i could have done anymore latexing in this lifetime! it has a particularly pungent aroma of ammonia and fish, which incidentally is what my bedroom now smells like. really pleased with my final garment though! feels like its the end of the year already... i wish! after the 9 o'clock hand in we all went to weatherspoons for a MASSIVE fry up... i cant move. im glad i got it all in though even if i was still doing it at 4 this morning. now i'm all handed in and fed, theres only one thing left to do... sleep zzzzzzzzzz.

flat pattern cutting vs moulage!

had a moulage workshop today.... i hate moulage! i definately understand flat pattern cutting a lot more! because im working on a design that looks like wings sprouting out the, the garment sticks out off the body and so moulaging it makes things extremely difficult as you cant mould it to the mannequin. also i have already worked out the flat pattern for my design and so had to give up on moulage... it is not my friend. however i am really enjoying working out patterns.. as i am a geek! ive done about 20 paper make ups and three half scale toiles... its getting there though!

working with 3rd years

i met my first year today.. becky holdsworth. she was really nice. however she was expecting kybria aswell so had planned loads of work for me to do and i'm feeling pretty rough from last night.. trapesing round town was not what i needed this morning.. i got her a everything from fabric to pencil cases and i think she was pleased with my efforts! thank god she let me go early blog and then bed... plan!

metamorphosis.....

the works getting a bit intense now we got set a task the other day to create 5 fabric samples and 5 ideas sheets all by 3 o'clock the same day. I struggled a bit with this and didnt complete the task but found this way of working really affective for me, both working under pressure, and using samples to inspire my work. its all very serious at the moment, but it is making me work really hard and i'm really enjoying it :)

easter!

well spain was wet and cold excellent.... now i have a week to finish fac and to do 15 sheets for metamorphosis. I've got my 3 ideas for interdisciplinary, i'm going to do, wings, aging and evolution as my starting points and then see what develops from there. my fac is just about done, but i cant say its very good :( i quite like my final photo though! oh well maybe metamorphosis will go better..... watch this space....

why does fac exist?

ergh! im not really feeling this project its getting a little neglected... was too busy doing cdp at the start of it and now ive got this essay for critical studies which hurts my head. weve been giving 4 weeks extra though now thank god else i think i would have been handing in a pile of fresh air. my essay research is going alright actually writing it however is failing miserably.. i think that generally is my problem.. actually doing the work. oh well maybe ill be able to sort my head out over easter i have a week in spain to relaaaxxx!

managed to get all my cdp in. im quite pleased with it i actually didnt mind the cad and maybe even enjoyed shhhhhh!!! yyaaaaaaayyyyyy... oh i spoke to soon FAC!!

ok im kind of back on track :) i'm on with my final line up ive finished my design developement and just need to the rest of the start of the project as i only managed one trend board over christmas... ooops! im liking the cad stuff and doing te line up but its taking quite a while just cant have a life until its over, cant even begin to think about fac yet.
